The term ground breaking is used all to often these days, often without good cause. Mobile phone manufacturer Motorolas latest handset, the Atrix, is one item that fully justifies such a hyped up introduction as it takes mobile technology to a whole new level.

The ATRIX is Motorola's latest flagship phone. It is equipped with the best features and hardware that Motorola can muster. This mobile phone boasts its "laptop" like features and power. It runs on the Android 2.2 (Froyo) and uses the 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 AP20H Dual Core processor. It is fast and it almost acts like a laptop.

The Motorola Atrix has two exceptional features going for it, one that is common with all phones, and one which is fairly unique. Every smart phone incorporates a screen, but very few have one that can match the qHD quality on offer on the Atrix.

The unique features of Motorola Atrix is the range of docks that can be added to this model, changing it in to either a laptop or a multi- media centre. The real eye catcher is the laptop version, sporting a good quality LCD screen together with a full keyboard and a trackpad. Thanks to use of its own battery it does not drain the phone quickly, merely relying upon the Atrix for its processor, connectivity and media.

The Motorola Atrix is not dissimilar in looks to many mainstream phones available such as the Nokia N8 or the HTC Desire HD. The majority of the fascia is taken up by the screen, which is in this case a large 4.3 inch affair.

Asides from this, there is very little else on the front which is pleasing, as anything more may have pushed this handset into the "to large to be practical" category. As it stands, the dimensions of 117.8 x 63.5 x 10.1 mm make this phone very streamlined for its size.

It offers not only a crystal clear image but also a huge palette of colours, making everything you see look vivid and lifelike. Durability is also good thanks to the screen being constructed with a specially strengthened material named Gorilla Glass.

It has to be noted that this point that this resolution of the 4 inch touch screen display is slightly lesser than the resolution of the Apple iPhone 4. However, the large touch screen masks any shortcomings in the resolution department to make this screen incredibly desirable.

Nothing to special so far, but the other two really do offer something different. The Multimedia dock really extends the connectivity options on the phone, giving you three USB sockets and an HDMI port.

Web browsing is a smooth experience thanks to the phone sporting WiFi facilities or alternatively 3G whilst you are on the move, which offers the fastest possible data transfer outside of Wireless LAN.

Further,The Atrix boasts an excellent 16GB of internal storage capacity, with the added bonus of a micro SD card slot which enables you to extend this by amounts of up to 32GB.

The Motorola Atrix boasts an array of features never before seen on a mobile handset, however this is not at the expense of performance, with the result being a super fast model that will amaze both you and your friends.
